Partington cycle wheels released for export

Innovative Geelong manufacturer, Partington Advanced Engineering, will this week begin exporting its high-performance carbon fibre cycling wheels. Speaking during a visit to Deakin University’s Manufutures hub last week by cycling legend, Cadel Evans, company founder, Jon Partington, said the first offerings are ready for export.

The Partington 39R and 44R are high-performance lightweight wheels featuring a unique spoke design to improve stiffness and ensure a consistent experience for riders of different weights. Low mass, low inertia and integrated connectivity of all components manifests as an exceptionally responsive wheel set.

The first orders have come from customers in Singapore, Canada, the US, the UK, Dubai and a couple around Australia. A set of these high-end wheels retails for $6900.

The winner of the prestigious Tour de France in 2011, Evans told the Partington crew he was interested to try them out.
