Special guest, Mr Darren Cheeseman MP, State Member for South Barwon, told the gathering of Cluster members and friends that regional industry was attracting serious global attention for advanced fibre and composites innovation and advances. The Victorian Government continued to be strongly committed to supporting that growth, he said. “I have been involved over many years with the industrial transformation of this area, including the shift of CSIRO to Waurn Ponds,” he said. “I am very pleased to be able to celebrate with you this evening what has been a hugely successful start for the Cluster.”
