Valued at up to $50,000, the DSI Collaborative Research Grant Scheme provides seed or exploratory funding to enable industry and/or DST Group to undertake collaborative research with DSI Participant universities.
Specifically, the Grant aims to:
- Facilitate defence-relevant research engagement between universities, industry, DST Group and Defence organisations; and
- Connect SMEs to research and expertise in order to strengthen SME participation in defence business;
by providing funding to universities that helps to address financial barriers to collaboration and that will produce activities with the potential to lead to larger projects.
Collaborative Research Grants are open DSI Participant universities or an Australian university collaborating with a Victorian company.
Grants will remain open till all funding is allocated or until the end of September, whichever comes first. Applicants are encouraged to submit early. All applications are to be submitted online via the DSI Grant Portal.
