Join Davis George, Senior Consultant at Consulting and Implementation Services (CIS) for a webinar on commercialising higher education research.
Davis works closely with industry, government and research institutions to help support, scale and commercialise research in Australia. CIS is an end-to-end strategic advisory and consulting firm with a particular focus on commercialising research through strategy, collaboration between industry and research and accessing funds. CIS has helped raise over $1.2 billion in grants and other funding opportunities.
Davis has extensive experience in grants including CRCs, CRC-P, ARCs and AusIndustry and helps support strategic alignment, conducts the economic impact modelling, supports the governance and overall project management. He formulated the idea and is leading the Hemp CRC which is due to go in this round of funding. He has also worked on other large bids including One Basin CRC, SAAFE CRC and RACE CRC.
Davis and more broadly, the CIS are now in the position to link innovative IP and SMEs that are needing capital expansion. Davis is working closely with a micro-algae firm that has just secured $3.5m in capital to start and scale their operations. CIS are now in the process of establishing an Incubator and a Venture Capital Fund.
