DESCRIPTION:Date: 8-10 May\, 2023 \nLocation: Waurn Ponds Estate\, Deakin University\, Nicol Dr S\, Waurn Ponds \nThe biennial Carbon Fibre Futures Conference is a unique convergence of industry\, academia and applied research\, hosted by Carbon Nexus\, a one-of-a-kind facility based at Deakin University\, Waurn Ponds. \nAt this conference you will gain exclusive insights into the future developments of carbon fibre and composite materials from across the globe\, as well as rub shoulders with some of the top global experts in this field. \nOver two days\, attendees will access presentations and networking opportunities followed by a third day of tours of the Geelong Future Economy Precinct at Deakin University’s Waurn Ponds Campus. \nThis will include tours of Carbon Nexus and the ARC Research Hub for Future Fibres at the Institute for Frontier Materials\, Manufutures\, Deakin University’s Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Hub\, Carbon Revolution and Quickstep. \nOptional add-on: An exclusive Carbon Fibre Manufacturing Workshop\, where you can gain “hands-on” experience in our research-scale fibre spinning and carbonisation manufacturing lines.
